I am making this post using the Lynx text based browser, in my terminal, Sakura.

Pretty cool, I suppose.

Yes...I am a geek.
I'm not ashamed.
(Funny how I amuse myself with my first morning coffee, no?)
Now, on to more important things...

Have you tried elinks? I'm always impressed at how good it is.

I haven't tried that, no.
How about W3m, have you tried that one?
Of course, I'm perfectly happy using FF3, but just wanted to play around a bit this morning...

I haven't tried W3m... but from my limited understanding, elinks is generally better at rendering advanced (i.e. inaccessible) content. Another textmode app I had forgotten about is irssi... I get a kick out of getting vim, elinks, irssi, and GNU screen going and being completely textmode. Ahh, geekdom. :)

One thing I love about LiveJournal is that it's perfectly useable from the minimalist browsers. I tried to log into myspace from dillo the other day (because myspace hates iceweasel) and I couldn't even log in. Ridiculous.

Yeah, the more complicated the web gets, the less I like it.
I enjoyed it when it was pretty well all text based and/or basic html, without all the scripts and flash and spinning lights.
